Late WW2 vintage M1 rifle stock set. Stock has no cracks, no rebuild markings, no rack numbers, and no repairs. Very few dents and bruises mostly concentrated in the cartouche area. The SA SPG Inspector stamp is sharp and clear with the exception of the bottom portion due to the curvature of the stock. The firing proof and ordinance sub inspectors mark on the bottom of the pistol grip are sharp also. Cannot discern a crossed cannons stamp behind the inspectors cartouche. Samuel P Green was active very early in M1 rifle inspections. Conjecture is that he filled in late in World War Two. A set of matching handguards and all original metal components is included.
