Remington manufactured model 1917. This rifle is in very good condition, all metal surfaces are free of rust or pitting. The markings are sharp and distinct. The rifle has a parkerized finish, approximately 90% of that finishes is intact. The stock is free of any cracks. There is a Rock Island Arsenal rebuild stamp on the left side above the trigger. The rear hand guard has a small crack at the rear by the spring clip. the Bolt is marked with an R as is most of the other parts. Unfortunately somebody sometime fired corrosive ammunition in this World War1 Veteran. The bore on this May 1918 barrel is dark.
