Early 1940s M1 rifle stock set. This stock has no cracks, no rebuild markings, no repairs, and no rack numbers. The stock's condition is very good with a sharp edge to the pistol grip indicating the stock has not been sanded. very few dents or bruises, Unfortunately a couple of these are in the cartouche area. 80 year old Patina. The cartouche, LARGE crossed cannons, and firing proof are sharp and distinct. A portion of the firing proof is not visible, believe it is original as is. Original TRAPPED butt plate configuration, not A earlier no trap stock. The stock comes equipped with all original GI issue metal components and a set of closely matching hand guards.
