1943/ 44 vintage M1 rifle stock set. This stock has no cracks, no rebuild markings, and no repairs. A rack number 6766 Is stamped on the left side of the stock near the butt plate. Another rack number is stamped on the bottom of the fore end 9537. The stock is in Is very good condition with the minimum number of dents or bruises, there is some sling keeper damage on the bottom of the fore end. The cartouche is very clear with the exception of the upper and lower part due to the curvature of the stock. The crossed cannons is clear and distinct. The firing proof also appears to be partially stamped the part that is visible is very sharp. The ordinance stock inspector crossed cannons on the bottom of the pistol grip is sharp. A set of original metal components is included. In addition a closely matching front and rear handguard are also included. (The hand guards are over 75 years old and one must expect possible hairline cracks.)
