1943 Vintage M1 rifle stock set. This stock has no cracks, no rack numbers, no rebuild markings,. There is an area around on the top of the stock at the toe that looks like a repair, however one cannot find any evidence of damage in this area when the butt plate is removed. Dents and bruises as one could expect from a 80 plus year old stock. The cartouche is stamped very close to the crossed cannons, the bottom portion of it is not visible due to curvature of the stock. There is Ace of Spades mark just above the crossed cannons one half of the firing proof is visible. This is an early 1943 vintage stock with a scooped clip latch tail inlet. No small crossed cannons on the bottom of the pistol grip as is correct. The stock comes with a set of closely matching hand guards and all original metal components.
