Traces of the original blue finish remain, no rust or pitting present. The rifle has the original stock and World War 1 type handguard. The stock has no cracks, no rack numbers, a ordinance inspection stamp is partially visible on the left side. The original firing proof is faint but visible. The barrel is dated 9/1917, the bore is bright and shiny. Hard to find an original 1903 Springfield from World War 1.
